Figure drawing from life is my antidote to being a computer based graphic designer.
The study of human anatomy (life drawing) is a traditional discipline that encompasses line, form, perspective, composition and colour and reminds me that I trained as an artist first.
The figure drawings are in soluble graphite on handmade paper, painted over with watercolour, this blends the linework and underpins the colour.
You can purchase original watercolour paintings or limited edition prints. I also consider commissions.
I was interviewed recently for the well respected Artsia Blog - Artsia Featured Artist and had two pieces included in a trans-atlantic drawing exhibition, "From Here and There", a joint project between Swansea and Colorado.
A local artist and lecturer Osi Rhys Osmond recently died. If you ever wondered why artists do life drawing, look no further for the most eloquent of explanations. A wonderful, inspirational man.
